Why Invest in Scholarship?

  • We continue to be committed to our mission of providing a liberal and professional education of the highest quality that is within reach of families with modest means and who desire a college that will strengthen their child's spiritual and moral character. Scholarship is essential to meeting the needs of those families.

  • Grove City College believes in responsible freedom in all forms. One of the biggest problems facing college graduates today is the debt they incur to earn their degree. With tuition at Grove City College totaling about half of the national average for private colleges, scholarships are of great assistance to further ease the financial burden of our deserving graduates.

  • The College is run on a philosophy of good stewardship. Money is valued and used appropriately, every student pays the same tuition fee, and there are no reductions or subsidies from students who are able to pay the full price. With these facts in mind, we are presently meeting about 45% of our students financial aid needs, but we are committed to doing more. Of course we do not accept any federal grants, but we must not penalize our students for that decision. Grove City College will continue to work to meet 70% of its students' financial aid needs. Please partner with us to keep Grove City College independent and allow our students to continue to explore a world of ideas under the auspices of an institution that encourages physical, emotional, social, mental and spiritual growth.

  • Scholarships allow a stronger focus on expanding academic horizons while experiencing a deeper reliance on God and the greater campus community.

  • Scholarships can make the future of graduate school seem brighter when the undergraduate debt load is lighter. Similarly, summer internships and/or mission trips are more viable options for students with a lighter debt load.

  • Scholarships demonstrate the finest chain of philanthropy: giving back and giving to one another. It is important to give toward initiatives that have goals that are consistent with one's personal worldview. Your example will light the way for future classes and demonstrate the importance of "giving back."

  • Scholarships allow students to become tomorrow's leaders, regardless of their current economic means.

  • Scholarship support is an investment in the leaders of tomorrow. These leaders will enhance and energize our communities and economy with broad perspective while preserving a religious, political and economic heritage of individual freedom and responsibility.
