Grove City College has a very rich history, and the main goal of the
archives is to preserve the College’s 138 years in one central and safe
When Carnegie Alumni Center was renovated in 2009, an archive room was
built to house the College’s historical documents, artifacts and
memorabilia. In January of 2012, Hilary (Lewis '09) Walczak began
working to organize, catalogue and preserve the College’s historical
items. As the archive grows, so does the College’s history. The
archive team is in the process of preserving, cataloguing and digitizing
the collections for the present day use and for the future.
1. We are currently working to complete our Greek Hall (lower level of Carnegie Alumni Center) by building shadow box displays for each Greek organization present and past.
2. We are also in the midst of an ongoing Oral History project,
where we've been busy interviewing alumni, faculty and staff from all
generations to capture the history of the College through their

we are working diligently to save all important College documents in a
digital format for easier research and long term preservation.
Eventually, our hope is to have these historical items searchable online
for the campus, alumni and researchers to use.
